Mariah started working at WRVMS in 2018. She provides explicit instruction and classroom support for students in the area of literacy. Mariah grew up in New Hampshire and enjoys spending her time in the great outdoors on either side of the VT/NH border. She spends most of her free time running, hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing. She also enjoys writing fiction from time to time and reading a good book on a sunny beach. Stephanie Cronan: Math & Literacy Interventionist, Bethel

Stephanie Cronan has been working at Bethel Elementary School since 2002 as a math and reading interventionist. She has been privileged to work with students and teachers in grades K-5. Her goal is to create academically engaging learning experiences through an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity and kindness. When not in school, Stephanie enjoys spending time outside with her family. Some of her favorite activities include kayaking, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and visiting the ocean. Liz Dziedziech: Math & Literacy Interventionist, Bethel

Liz began teaching at Bethel Elementary in January of 2000 as a long term sub, then as a first grade teacher, and is now enjoying her position as an Elementary Interventionist. Liz has three sons and two daughters. She enjoys art/photography, sewing, stamping cards and tags, woodworking projects, landscaping, and growing indoor house plants. She also enjoys cooking, baking, riding her bike with her husband, and listening to a wide variety of music. Carol Harrington: Math & Literacy Interventionist, Royalton

After graduation from the University of South Dakota, Carol started her teaching career here at South Royalton Elementary School in 1988 and has been here ever since.   She has held many positions over the last 34 years.  She has taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade and Reading and Math Intervention.  She loves working with  students and has learned so much from them!   Everyone can learn and Carol’s bucket is filled as she works side by side with students to help them reach their full potential! Nancy Pejouhy : Math Interventionist, Bethel

Nancy is the Math Interventionist at White River Valley Middle School. She loves working with students who need extra help understanding mathematics.  She has taught for close to 40 years and has “retired” four times. She is the proud grandmother of five wonderful kids, one of whom is a student at WRVMS.  Outside of school, Nancy loves being outdoors.  She is a ski ambassador at Pico Mountain, and also enjoys kayaking, camping, hiking, paddle boarding and bicycling.  Nancy can be reached at

Mindybeth Pike: Literacy Interventionist, Bethel

Mindybeth started working in WRUD in 2012.  She teaches elementary reading and math and is the coordinator of curriculum and assessments for grades K-12. Katie Shearer: Math & Literacy Interventionist, Royalton

Katie Shearer came home from her first day of school as a kindergartener and announced that she wanted to become a teacher when she grew up. She is glad she took the advice of her five year old self, as she has enjoyed roles across several fields and age ranges within education, such as higher education, summer camp administration, and classroom teaching in third, fourth and fifth grades. Katie is happy to have landed in the South Royalton Elementary School community in 2019, and she loves working with Wildcat students in reading and math, as an Elementary Interventionist.
