Hi, I’m Amanda Cross! I am one of the Child Nutrition Assistants (AKA- Lovely Lunch Ladies) at the Royalton Campus. I became part of the team in 2023. I love to cook and see all the children enjoying the delicious offerings we have in the cafeteria.

I was born and raised next door in Tunbridge and graduated high school from right here at the Royalton Campus in 2005. I still live here in Royalton with my husband and two young daughters. I enjoy puzzles, crafts, cooking/baking, and reading aloud to my girls. My favorite food is cheese and I love a good “dad joke”!

What did the lettuce say to the tomato? ‘Lettuce ketchup at lunch!’

Bon Appetite!

I can be reached at across@wrvsu.org

Hi! My name is Barbara! I started as a sub in the kitchen in the fall of ‘24 and now full time. I enjoy working there with my daughter, Amanda. You may hear lots of people call me Grandma and that’s because my two lovely granddaughters attend the elementary and everyone hears them saying hi to Grandma so they call me it too! While not at work I enjoy being at home gardening, on the go camping with my husband, playing cards, or spending time with family.

Megan is thrilled to be working in the Bethel School Cafeteria as the Main Cook. A self declared Food Lover/Geek, Megan enjoys baking and cooking, with a focus on fresh, local and clean eating. Her goal is to introduce different foods, flavors and textures to the students in fun, seasonal and tasty ways throughout the year. Megan encourages healthy choices and trying new foods, even if you try something once 🙂

Megan has had the pleasure of both subbing and working in both the Cafeteria and Pre-K - 5th Grade Classrooms at South Royalton Elementary since 2019. She enjoys working with the staff and students, many of whom are good friends and classmates to her two sons.

Megan's love for Vermont began back in 2001 when she began classes at N.E.C.I. (former New England Culinary Institute.) School only furthered her love and interest in food and making people happy with full bellies! When Megan's not at school, she enjoys painting, photography, hiking and almost anything outdoors with her kids 🙂 She can be reached at mburnham@wrvsu.org
